Term Definitions

This section contains definitions and explanations of terms used in Foodsoft.

This documentation section is still being developed. Please contribute by adding definitions for common Foodsoft terms.

Common Terms

Food Cooperative (Foodcoop): A group of people who organize together to buy food directly from producers, often focusing on organic and local products.

Order Group: A group of users who order together and share a common account balance in Foodsoft.

Supplier: A producer or distributor who provides products to the food cooperative.

Article: A product available for ordering from a supplier.

Order: A collection of articles from one supplier that members can order during a specific time period.

Balance/Credit: The amount of money available in an order group's account for making orders.
